About Me

I'm Diane Reyes

and I have been an attorney for 19 years since 1996. I decided to be an attorney because I enjoyed arguing and loved winning arguments.  I wanted to practice a type of law where I felt that I could help someone, not just deal with money or contracts but actually improve their lives. I take a very personal approach to all my cases and if I decide to take on your case I like to meet my new dependency or complicated case clients personally to make sure we will get along to work well together.  I help many clients through very stressful parts of their lives and hope that I can see their case to a happy conclusion.

Legal Background

My legal career began as a sole practitioner where I did Probate.  In 1996, I joined what is now Children’s Law Center of Los Angeles which represents the majority of abused and neglected children in Los Angeles County Dependency System. During my 8 years at C.L.C. I represented children, parents and legal guardians daily in court.  In 2004, I left C.L.C.L.A. to form my own practice where I focus on dependency, adoptions, guardianships & administrative hearings.

I am a current member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Diversity in the Profession Committee, member of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, Loyola Law School Latino Alumni Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.  I volunteer as scorer/judge for Constitutional Rights Foundation Mock Trial Program and as an adult volunteer/Troop Leader for Girl Scouts for the past 10 years. I am married and have two lovely daughters who are in High School.

I graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont California with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology.  Then I went on to Loyola Law School of Los Angeles to earn my Juris Doctorate.
