Community

Helping others to help each other.

Before I decided to become an attorney I realized that others in this world are not as fortunate as I am, so I wanted to make a difference in my community. I hope that my contributions in both my career and personal life can make the world better.  There are so many organizations out there that need assistance and I have chosen to participate in the few listed below.  However this list is by no ways exhaustive, so I hope you can find a way to make a positive impact on your community.

  • Free Arts–This is the non-profit that entertains the children in Children’s Court by bringing and leading arts and crafts in the waiting area.  They have fundraisers and need volunteers. http://www.freearts.org/courtprograms
  • Children’s Law Center— This is the organization that represents the majority of children in Los Angeles County and my old employer.  They accept donations of money and seasonal goods(like backpacks for school, holiday gifts, etc.) http://www.clcla.org/supportclc
  • Comfort for Court Kids–This organization is responsible for the teddy bears that each child in court receives when they go before the judge.  It is run by my old colleague Ernestine Fields.  They accept monetary donations to supply the bears. http://courtkids.org/
